We happened on the Daisy Mountain Inn in 2004 and have been making week long pilgrimages twice a year ever since, one in summer and one in late December, to savor the magnificence of the setting in both seasons. This has proven to be creature comfort living in an elegant country setting with hosts who are extremely engaging and yet also sensitive to our needs for a balance of quiet time and social attention. There is a well tuned baby grand piano in the parlor for those who want to play and plenty of variety of things to do in the area if one wishes to explore. Though we travel the world, we will always plan our lives around having at least two visits every year.

The Daisy Mountain Inn is a treasure, as are its generous, welcoming, attractive proprietors, Meghan and Harry Nyberg. I had the use of an apartment with complete kitchen, which was convenient for my particular purposes. The Inn is located in a lovely remote spot (a bit hard to find) with vegetable and flower gardens. Harry was a NYC chef and they serve up wonderful breakfasts. My stay with them was a highlight of a great parents day weekend at a nearby camp.

We have been coming to the Daisy Mountain Inn for ten day each summer and a week in the winter every year for more than ten years now. In the summer we canoe on the Saco River, swim in Kezar Lake and sleep soundly with only the sounds of nature around us. In the winter we read by the fire, explore local shopping, and snuggle in for long winter naps. Clean air, fabulous hosts and great breakfasts have brought us back to this five star experience and we look forward to continuing our annual 400 mile treks from New Jersey for this never disappointing recovery from the rat race of life. The beautiful Story & Clark baby grand piano in the parlor has provided many a magical evening of music when someone comes along who can play. This is a very special hide a way.

Me and my friends come up to Lovell several times every year during the winter to ski. It's great to get away from Boston (where we are from). It's also great to get on the slopes. We usually ski at Sunday River, which is not too far away - about 20 minutes. There are also a lot of fun restaurants and bars near the mountains and in Bethel. We highly recommend the Daisy Mountain Inn. We always have a blast here. It's a beautiful house, wood fire place, comfortable beds, and very homey.
